Ok, so this past Sunday the service that we attended was interrupted twice by cell-phones going off. Our pastor Gerry has in the past made no bones about the fact that he hates cell-phone disruption, and cheerfully urges everyone in the congregation to boo when it does happen (which people have no problem doing). So.... in that spirit, he sent out an email with this attachment, and the title of the email was "Don't you just wish this would happen on occassion!"

That is truly funny, particularly coming from your pastor! Did he send that to everyone in his congregation?
Well, if you knew our pastor... it wouldn't strike you as unusual. It's pretty much in character with how he does everything. If you want a bit of an idea what he is like, and what our church is like, check out www.soulsanctuary.ca, and look for the podcasts - all the life lessons are put online; great teaching, challenging, 'real' and enjoyable all at the same time. We feel really blessed that we are able to be part of Soul.
And no, he didn't send that to the entire congregation, just to those who are on his email list to receive a daily devotional... this was a preamble to what he went into next :)
