So... you think Winnipeg is flat?
Here's a little video from last winter that we both enjoy watching from time to time.
As Jenn proves in this little cross country skiing clip, Winnipeg is not flat. In fact she has to work extremely hard side-stepping down this slope to ensure that she does not go hurtling down the nearly vertical face. You can see from the speed that she gains at the end the danger that she has just narrowly averted.
To give her credit- the snow was a little bit icy and crusty that day, and it was only her second time cross-country skiing ever...

Here is a comment from Mr "I have a blog, but I haven't updated it for half a year!"
Way to go, Jenn. I never realized you were such a daredevil! It must be from spending so much time with all of those dangerous plants!
Wish you were here.

Very fun. Wish I could have been there...NOT! Thankful there's no snow here except in drop form ... get it...snow-drops... hee hee:) Actually, I think the snowdrops are just about done at mom and dad's...they looked a little sad today when I saw them.
